Only what the service needs to work.

• Account — name, email address, account type (job seeker or employer), and a one-way hash of your password. We never store your password itself.
• Job-seeker profile — display name, contact email, phone number, a short summary, preferred district, and a profile image, all optional beyond the display name.
• Employer profile — company name, contact person, contact email, phone number, company description, and logo.
• Activity — job listings you create, jobs you save, and subscription status.
• Payments — plan purchased, amount, transaction reference, and outcome. See section 4.
• Technical — server logs containing IP address, browser type, and requested URLs, kept for security and debugging.

We do not collect government ID numbers, caste, religion, health data, or biometric data, and we ask you not to put such details in free-text fields.

• To create and secure your account, and to verify your email address.
• To show job listings and, for subscribers, employer contact details.
• To take payment and activate the right subscription.
• To send transactional email: email verification, password reset, subscription activated, subscription expiring, job published, job expired.
• To detect abuse, fraudulent listings, and security incidents.
• To meet legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for third-party advertising. We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

Payments are handled by our payment gateway. Your card number, UPI PIN, CVV, and banking credentials are entered on the gateway's own page and never reach our servers. We receive only the transaction reference, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded or failed.

A small set of processors, each for one purpose, under contract, and never for their own marketing.

• Payment gateway — to process payments and confirm outcomes.
• Cloud hosting and database provider — to run the application and store data.
• File storage provider — to store profile images and company logos.
• Email delivery provider — to send transactional email.

We may also disclose data where required by law, court order, or a valid request from a law-enforcement authority.

Data is stored on cloud infrastructure. Some providers operate outside India; where that happens, the transfer is covered by the provider's standard contractual protections. Access inside our organisation is limited to the people who need it to run the service.

• Account and profile data — while your account is open, then up to 90 days after you ask for deletion, to allow for reversal of an accidental request.
• Payment records — retained as long as tax and accounting law requires, currently eight years, even after account deletion.
• Server logs — up to 90 days.
• Expired job listings — hidden from search immediately and deleted within 12 months.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to do any of the following.

• Tell you what personal data of yours we hold and who we have shared it with.
• Correct or complete inaccurate data. Most fields you can edit yourself under Settings.
• Delete your account and associated personal data, subject to the retention rules in section 7.
• Withdraw consent for anything you consented to, which may mean the service stops working for you.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated.

Email suportodishalocaljobs@gmail.com from your registered address. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to production data is restricted and authenticated. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your own password strong and unique; if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, email us immediately.

We use cookies and similar local storage only for essential purposes: keeping you signed in, remembering your light or dark theme choice, and protecting forms against cross-site abuse. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set. Blocking essential cookies will stop sign-in from working.

The service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has registered, tell us and we will delete the account.

We may update this policy; the effective date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be notified by email or on the website.
